Takechan Workshop T Shirt

$3000

100% Cotton. AS Colour Heavy Tee. Boxy oversized fit. Indigo Blue with White & Red.

This design is based on a hand written letter we received from Takeshi, a sign painter and furniture maker from Tsukuba, Japan. Takeshi runs Takechan Workshop with his son, building custom furniture and hand-painted signage. They created the stools and tables for our new Bicycle Coffee Tokyo location, some made from reclaimed bike frames, others from cross-cut tree trunks.

The bold calligraphy used in this shirt comes from the actual letter Takeshi wrote after finishing the furniture. We worked with our longtime friends at Oaklandish in Oakland to screen print the design by hand.
